'The first edition of the e-journal "AALEKH" was inaugurated on 27th September 2021 by Smt. Seema Rekha Bhuyan(IAS), Secretary, Indigenous and Tribal Faith and Culture Department in the presence of the officials of Directorate of Museums, Archaeology and Historical and Antiquarian Studies. This e-journal of the Directorate of Museums is aimed to provide informative and attractive articles, facts and news about the cultural objects, heritage sites, and functions of museums.

2nd Edition
The 2nd Edition of Aalekh, Bi-yearly e-journal of the Directorate of Museums, Assam was inaugurated in the presence of Sh. Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Honourable MP, Rajyasabha, Sh. Hitendra Nath Goswami, MLA, Jorhat, renowned artist Saleha Begum and other distinguished guests on the ocassion of International Museum Day on 18th May, 2022 at District Museum Jorhat.
